Can you Really Surf Detroit?

For those of you who are still wondering if you can surf Detroit, well, YES you can. There are many local breaks in Detroit and S.E. Michigan such as Tankers, Jacked, Hit Man, Murder One and D Street.

For Safety reasons we will not disclose the locations of these local breaks. Getting to these surf spots is probably more dangerous than surfing the break itself. If you're not from the area or "prepared" you could, at the very least end up robbed, jacked, murdered or worse. Most surfers from around the world think they are pretty tough, but wouldn't last 10 minutes here on the tough streets of Detroit.

Detroit Surf Co was established by a Detroit born and raised surfer in 2006, to show pride in being from the Motor City and tough enough to Surf its tough streets and breaks. We now have Detroit Surf Co brand SUP boards, have snowboards in development, and our apparel is now sold all around the world !

DETROIT SUP BOARDS:

Since the Advent of Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP), the sport of surfing and paddling is ready to explode in the Great Lakes region. Today Detroit Surf Co. has begun production of the 2012 Stand Up Paddle Boards, specifically designed for use in fresh water.  2012 models can be ordered now, to be delivered in spring 2012.

DETROIT SNOWBOARDS:

We've begun development of Snowboards as of fall 2011. The Snowboards will be under our brand name "Detroit Snowboards" and will ultize our trident D logo. Sales and production info will be avaiilable january 2012.

You don't need to be from Detroit to sport our Detroit Surf Co. gear or boards, you just have to be Tough.
